When the oldest daughter went to collage in Lubbock Texas we loaded all her stuff in the fiver and we all went to Texas. She took more cloths and stuff then I even own. They have a nice camp ground there for Guest to use free of charge. Until you pay the tuition that is.

We stayed for a few days and had BBQ parties, beer whiskey and all on the Lubbock Christian University campus campground. Use it to visit relatives and friends and to go see the kids and grand kids. And take it too a casino every now and then. And the mountains in Colorado. Always beats a motel or flying if you have the time.

And lakes for relaxing and jets skiing, and maybe drown a worm or two.

As an old trucker/coach driver I have always been sensitive to never letting a diesel sit too long. I used to have to take our two teen girls each Sunday to choir practice @ 4, Mom & I return for Mass at 5, we two go get supper about 6:15, then return @ 8 to pick them up from their church youth group supper and discussions. Sunday football games pretty much lost for Pop. SNIFF!

Strolling out in the back one day, DING!, Sez to meself, "kill two birds with one rock!".

We now take our "Super C" to the church parking lot about 3:45, crank up MS Genny, lie on the bed & have a beer, watch the game, interrupt for Mass, return & have home cooked supper & enjoy chow, mebbe another suds & football until the girls return & drive the old folks home! Don't even have to get out of bed.

Do that in a Prius!

Every Summer my Wife has to attend continuing education for her career in Duluth. We always take the MH and a toad. She goes to school and I bum around the area. Love it.

We originally bought our B for taking to bicycle races. It works great for that, but anything much larger than a B+ wouldn't work so well. These things are usually on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere!

Still use it for bike races, but it's become much more than that.

This is probably at the low end of the excitement chain but the MH is a great "husband's bench" while the wife is in the quilt store we couldn't drive by. Both of us are happy.

We use ours when we volunteer with Texas Baptist Men during various disasters such as the explosion in West, Texas and the flood in Austin, Texas. We have always been able to find hookups to camp free at nearby Christian camps. We have also stayed in our MH while working with the TBM Retiree Builders completing projects at Christian camps.

We have brought the RV to a few soccer tournaments where two or three of our kids are playing. It's a great place for the kids and some of their teammates to relax with the AC on between games. We've done that quite a bit.

We've also stayed overnight at an indoor soccer facility parking lot for several 6:00 AM games. Get up at 5:45, put on a hat, swish some mouthwash, make some coffee and we're there by game time. Of course we need to get the kid there 15 minutes early but DW does that for us.

Last weekend my daughter had volleyball practice 40 miles from home until 9pm and a tournament the next morning starting at 8am. We stayed at the Wal Mart 1-2 miles from the gymnasium. That one comes with a story. Short version, we lost all 120V at about 9:15pm so no popcorn or space heater. And DW said she was okay with no water (it's been winterized) but then complained about not being able to take a shower - especially since her curling iron didn't work because, well, no 120V.

Oh, and we have used it to camp, too...

Music Festivals!!

I am tool old to sleep in a tent and poop in a blue closet.

I like my shower, flush toilet, a/c and comfortable bed… along with live music of Phil Lesh and Dark Star Orchestra!

Since I'm retired, we use it mainly for Snowbirding in Florida during the winter months. Life is good!

We spend two months every summer in Colorado to get out of the Texas heat.

We used to always take multi-day Mountain Bike trips into Co. Ut. and other places. For years we laid out plans and got hotels and were attentive to reservation times, schedules and things of that sort. Then for a few years we would drive to Co. rent or lease an RV and that worked well so I bought one and use it sometimes as much as a couple times a month, and a couple larger trips a year. I race Moto Cross out of it, no more concerns about hotels or bikes being stolen out of the trailer at night. As far as the mountain bike, climbing, or other adventure type trips. Well if we come off the trails at Fruita and don't want to move on, we don't, out goes the awing and patio matt, the grill gets fired up and we have fun right where we're at. If we feel like moving on to Moab, or Grand Junction for a night ride, well then we do that. It really is freedom.

This is my 3rd and we bought one older! We have a mentally challenged daughter 42. Sometimes its not comfortable for her to ride in a car and have to stay in a motel. Also we both have issues sometimes needing a bathroom. And having your own food, icemaker, and drinks is sooooo nice.
Plus we have an 18 year old cat, she has only been away from me a couple times and almost starved to death. I used to leave her at home but now she can't eat dry food all the time and you can't leave the other stuff out for her a week at a time.

But the main reason is DD, and this one has a w/d which I LOVE and will never have one without.

Last year we went to Orlando for about a month, this year we plan to be gone 4 to 7 weeks, depending on the weather. It's a money pit, but still the best thing we ever bought.

By the way I am mom and this is basically ours, she and I. Dad is not retired yet and he travels all over in different countries so for some reason doesn't want to go when he is home. This lets us, go see, and do. I put 20k on my otherone and 6k on this one so far. I plan to put many more on if possible.

Casinos

Usually have big parking lots, free RV area , and some, where one can gamble while others relax. Usually near the truck parking so can run a generator.
