What to do - Fridge ??????? Q

The 3 way fridge crapped out recently and I have replaced it with a residential fridge as I travel alone and only refrigerate my dogs food and some cold drinks while going to whatever my destination might be. I usually settle down somewhere and stay for months.
While resealing the roof I took off the fridge vent and found out that the major leak I had was coming from there. There is a gaping hole at that spot. I have ventilation of 3 inches each side , 2 inches on the bottom and 1 foot above.
Question can I seal that hole?
Thanks for your excellent input.

Why not, since the new refer doesn't need the vent? We have a 22 cf Jenn air refer/freezer and it doesn't have any vents overhead nor in back.

Seal it up if not needed.

Just like in a residential install, there's no external vent needed...just allow for airflow around the external coils.

The side vent can be retained to allow Fridge heat to escape outside the RV, but the rooftop vent is not needed and as an example, new factory residential Fridge installs do not have that vent.

Best luck
