What Winnie Do I Have?

Hi folk's! I'm new here & was wondering if anyone could give me a sense of direction on some of the spec's on my just purchased rv. Per the title it's a 1978 Winnebago Chieftain
model # M40CA7T015397. I know its a 400 Chrysler eng & was wondering what Trainny it had as well as any other helpful specs.
I think it's a 21 footer. Where could I get a tech manual etc...? I'm not real computer friendly trying to look this stuff up & stumbled on this site. I've went through hour's of threads & still empty handed.

Thanks in advance!

Hi patricklp,
While I can't help you with your questions, you might try looking through some of the posts on the Vintage RV Forum in the Community Forums section near the top of the main page. Try asking some of your questions there.

Most likely a 727 Torque-flight transmission.

Thanks everyone. I took it to a tranny shop & had it rebuilt $1,800 later.

Go here for information on your Winnie:

Winnebago Product Information | Motorhome & RV Information

Then select year and model.
