We have had our new motorhome for about 3 months and have been out for 3 weekend trips (we have a 2 month trip starting July 28). So far, I have not dumped the air out of the suspension while at the campground. When would you dump the air, for long stays only? Weekend trips? How about when the unit is in storage- in my case it sits for a maximum of 3 weeks. Any thoughts are welcome.

I dump mine every time I park. Lowers the coach and the levelers don't have to extend as far. Only takes a few minutes to pump 'em back up.

Terry,

It is recommended that you "dump" your suspension air before using the levelers.

Check your owners manual for your leveling system and also for the chassis. Mine both state to "dump" the air.

First time out, I followed the owners manual and dumped. Thing is.....the 8 airbags on my Roadmaster chassis don't really lower that much when you do it (smaller bags than a 4 bag system)

As per the instructions I dump the bags whenever I level. It also makes the drop from the last step to the ground much shorter.

On my 2004 DSDP I only have 3 buttons ( Level, store and off) When I press level it automatically dumps the air, then I put down the jacks. What choices do you have?
