When to turn off LP tank
Do i need to turn off my propane tank at the tank before driving off then turn it on at cg arrival? How about when I store my motorhome for a couple of weeks or over the winter? Thanks

I travel with my refrigerator on using LP gas, so it has to be on, if not for that, I would shut off the tanks.
In storage, for any amount of time, the tanks are shut off.

mine is never shut off except to refill the tank
it is a personal choice

Off in winter storage and to refill, the rest of the time it is on.

Some keep them on except when refilling, they then have to be off. Some only turn them on when stopped. Some will site laws and rules as to why they have them off except when stopped. There are some tunnels and roads that you are NOT allowed to on if you have them on and there are some that you are NOT allowed to go on if you have propane period.
Basically it seems to be an individual thing with everyone.

Mine has never been off except for refills and certain tunnels where it is a legal requirement. If i ever stored it for months at a time with no need for propane use, I would probably shut it off

Same here.
The propane system in an RV is designed, built, tested and certified to be used while on the road, so we do.

As long as the fridge is in use, the LPG valve is on, except when at gas stations or on the Washington State Ferries. I don't think there any tunnels around here where you need to shut it off.
If the rig is docked at home for an extended period, we empty the fridge and turn the LPG valve off

Mine is rarely ever on. Run the fridge off elec when at hook ups. Elec water heater and is usually warm enough that we use AC and no need for heat and if we do need heat I use elec heat. I never trust gas, that is why our house is all electric as well lol.

Your tank s/b turned to off by whoever fills the tank. Your fridge generally s/b turned off because it is an open flame.The risk is quite minimal but things happen so I turn mine off when getting gas. But I have forgotten before I'm sure many have.

Mine is off while on the road. Frig is on inverter power (electric frig) so don't need LP.
Turn on during set-up and off during break-down.

The only time my propane tank is off, is when it is being filled or traveling on bridges/tunnels that require it to be off.
