This isn't quite the same, but we started bringing our motorhome home (we store it in a building) on Sundays to sit outside, tailgate, and watch football games when our team is away.
It beats being locked up in the house on Sundays and puts us in the mood like as if we are there like during home games.

I am lucky enough to keep MH at my sister's 11 acres, behind her house. Covered, water, elec., sewer. Great view out the windshield of her 11 acres, past a farm to market road, to neighbors 30 acre pasture, then behind that to hills. To me, like being in a park. 90 minutes from my house. And I get to visit my sister and mother. Mother will be 95 in November. Good times.

Im heading out now for a night in the rig. I think I sleep out in the drive more than I do in the s&b these days.

We have a State park 15 Mi.away. We can spend a week there each month, have a lakefront retreat at the most beautiful spot on the lake for less than the taxes would be, and I don't even have to cut the grass.

We're lucky in that there is a real nice campground for $32 a night, 50amp service, about a 5 minute drive from the house. DW calls me from work at noon on Fri and says put this , this, and this in the MH and I'll see you at Hidden Valley after work and off I go!!!
