Had to add something...I do apologize. If these batteries are equivalent to any other major manufacturer why are they half the price?

From the research I've done, and from reports from several forum members in assorted forums who also did the research Six Volt pairs from Costco or Sams is about as good as it gets.

I'm also considering a battery rebuild/refurbishment places however they are few and far enough in between to make the cost of fuel to get there excessive.

One of my 6 volt balleries went bad. When I pulled it the date was may 04.It came from Sams so that is where I went for replacements.

I too am dropping in Wall Marts this month. One last week one 2 weeks from now.

Caution though: There have been some disturbing comments on Wal-mart and warranties on batteries on the forums within the last year...

Alas. I did NOT pay enough attention.

Where batteries

Sam's Club here recently had a huge price increase on their Interstate PowerFast group 8D battery. From $124 to $175.

My MH cane with two 6V Continental lead-acid batteries and a 12V Continental that is sealed and has a sight glass. Is that considered an AGM?

The sealed battery with a sight glass is just a maintenance free lead acid cranking battery to start the engine.

I was fortunate enough to find a Trojan Battery distributor here in Myrtle Beach which did save me some bucks over buying from a retail store.

The higher up on the food chain you can buy, the less expensive it gets.

I think this may answer your question: Continental Batteries | Home | Home.

Hope they last like they say, as I'm not the original owner. Thanks for the link.
