Where to buy door jamb switch?

Does anyone know a good place to buy a switch like this? It's in the door jamb of my 94 CC Affinity. I can order one from Country Coach for $40 plus shipping. Glad I have that option, but that seems a little steep. Tried Google, Amazon etc, but I don't have enough info for a narrow enough search.
Thanks for any help.

Did you 'google' it?

I did a quick look and didn't find that exact one, but many others for half or less. More recently they are all magnetic switches which are easy to retrofit. Just one idea...

search term: rv door switch

Also, if you know your step manufacturer you could search the switch that way, like 'kwikee electric step switch'.

I'm with you, I wouldn't spend $40 for that. LOL.

I did "google" it and found a lot of them that we're close, but not exact. I will try searching the step manufacture (great idea,) as soon as I remember which one it is.....If not, I will look at it next time I see it. There are only a few different kinds, I think, maybe someone here knows...
Thanks for the reply.

If Digi-Key.com hasn't got it, they don't make them...ANYWHERE.
They have 19,980 push button switches in their catalog.....

Try calling Butch Williams at Fountain RV in Lakeland, FL. 888.264.6523. Lots of experience with Country Coach motor homes.

If you post to Photobucket, I can not view the photo and thus will be unable to assist you accuratly.. Let me try an alternate browser.

Ah, alternate worked: Many electroincs stores (NOT radio shack sticks and bricks) should have that,, let me check RS-Online. No joy online either... One more

Ok, if you used all 3 leads there is no SPDT switch on this web page, but there are SPST switches in the on (off) and off (on) type (The condition in prens is the "Pushed" status

I think we are getting close. I do use all three wires. So does that mean I need a spdt switch? Would that be on (on)?

I tried to determine the step manufacturer today by looking at it and going through my manuals, but no luck so far. I don't think it's a Kwikee, but only because I haven't seen a Kwikee slide out step yet. Someone must know who makes them. Maybe I will ask on the owners forum.

Looks like a good resource. When I can filter it down to the exact part description, maybe I can find it there.

It just runs the steps in and out. I am sure a conversion to magnetic would be possible, but for now I am just looking for a replacement. If it fails again soon, then maybe a conversion.

See your other post on the same subject.

BTW, you could probably find one at a good auto parts store. This is not a Kwickee part

Take it to an electronics supply.

Not radio shack.

There should be some manufacturer markings on the switch somewhere.

Try web searching on the numbers or name. I have replacements for switches using that process. Even have found crossover charts.

I had a thought.. And it panned out. MICROSWITCH corp.

Now the switch I found is not exactly like the one you photoed. but I am sure it will replace it, This is a SPDT plunger switch with SCREW terminals, the only other major difference is the location of the plunger.

I am sure you can figure out the screw terminals.
