Hi All,
On our 94 HR we need to replace the trim/moulding that goes from front to rear above the basement storage bins, but can't seem to find where to purchase ?
or I am I calling it the wrong stuff? what is the proper name for this stuff on the outside that goes over the metal strip that is riveted on the sides of the coach?

here is a pic or 2 of the old trim that is needed

thanks

Antlerz, If you could post a real good photo or two of exactly what you are looking for, you will probably get more replys, and better recomendations from other folks that have already replaced what you are referring to.

Good Luck - Glenn

There are a few pics the plastic / vinyl trim is what is needed, the metal channel is fine.

I bought some from the Holiday Rambler dealer in Wichita, KS. Business name is Wichita RV. I replaced some, but then decided to try the spray paint made for plastic. It worked great, and I didn't have to disturb the caulking which was still in great shape. On our 94 HR Endeavor LE, I used the color "Dove White" and I think it looks fine. Best of luck, HarveyP

Thanks Harvey,
We had to take ours off because the rivets broke. Did you have to prime the trim first? and then use the plastic paint?

Does it rub off?

thanks again

No priming needed with the paint for plastic. I did really spend some time with a scrub brush and cleaners, followed by really good rinsing. I think I followed that with an alcohol wipe and time to dry.
I have had some rivets fail also. Replaced those with no problem, now have some to do in another location. Good luck, HarveyP

PS I recaulked with a clear sealant with a name like Lexel. Got it at Ace Hardware. From research on the company's website, it sounded exactly like the right thing. Stay away from silicone. It doesn't have the flexability to stay sealed. HarveyP

Thanks again Harvey sounds good,
BTW Monaco finally got back to me here is their response:
"Thank you for contacting Monaco National Parts. You will find an attachment for the trim listed for this coach. It is Colonial White in color with a leg. The part number is 78133 and is sold by the roll for $41.60. This price does not include shipping which is additional. We apologize this is not a secure site for ordering. To place orders please call 877-466-6226 to reach a Parts Representative. You will need your VIN or serial number available when calling."

So now we have a part number and a number to call if any others need to do the same.

Thanks
Craig

Thank you,

Monaco National Parts
