Where to shop for previously owned MH

Where would you say the best bang for my buck would be found? In Flordia or Michigan? Are dealerships going to deal very much in the 50k range?

That's a broad question. The time of year may have an impact but I think it depends on what they have into it and how bad they want to get rid if it. Try them both against each other.
Good luck

I searched the internet, went to 2 dealer lots and that was enough of that. When I buy again it will be from a private individual, some one that personally know the item that I am buying and can tell me what he has done to it and how he has taken care of it. Dealers can not tell you these thing honestly, but they try to.

All the forums have a buy and sell section as well. I bought mine through kijiji which is like craigslist here in Canada. Sometimes estate sales are a good spot to find them. Also, I have noticed for sale signs at rv parks and campgrounds on units for sale.

IMHO, in Florida, but only long AFTER the snowbirds have all left.

When I was picking mine up from a big boat & RV consignment yard in Florida (in August) I was talking to another Canadian couple also there to pick up a m/h they had just bought. The fella said he'd bid on it while it was listed on eBay but it never met the reserve. It had been listed 3times back-to-back. He then put in an offer directly at the sales yard while there on vacation in February. It wasn't accepted. The dealer had phoned him in August to say if they were still interested, the owner was now "motivated". He bought it for $25k, it had had a "buy it now" price of $40k on eBay.

Mine was similar, I bought it for nearly half what it had been initially listed for.

Check out PPL Motorhomes. I had a really good experience there, and have been as happy as a lark. In MY experience, they did what said they would do.

A place I would try is www.conejowholesaleauto.com
They sell RV's at very good prices and you can view their inventory and prices on line.
I have bought from them and highly recommend them.

Check out IRV2 classifieds. There's a couple nice units there....a Fleetwood 37A I think for $52,000.

In terms of states, AZ right now pretty good prices. RVs For Sale On RV Trader® - New and Used Fleetwood,Airstream,Winnebago,Keystone,Forest River,Newmar RVs and More-RVTrader.com lists RVs of all sizes and prices all over the country. You can specify the region, size, manufacturer, and price range. etc. That should give you a good idea of what's available.
