I don't think the tires matter. I've got stainless braided that the end attaches to the wheel cover lugs 180 degrees from the outside tire stem. Works fine for my TPMS.

When I bought my TST tire monitor, the valve stem extensions on my inner duals did not read correctly. I called TST and they recommended a particular brand of extender. I don't recall the brand at this time.

I got tired of leaks and problems. Got rid of extensions.

The sensors from my TT500 can be installed/removed to the inner dual using a short piece of PVC as a tool to reach and turn.

This style actually came on MY coach.
A different manufacturer though and I had trouble with them.
The Milton brand has been working great for me After I changed out the original.
