We work an extra hour each day to allow every second Friday off. That means every second Thursday at 5.30pm we are heading for a state park 50-75 miles away. We have our gear and food ready, so just drive home get the dog and head over to the MH, we don't bother taking the SUV. We hike a lot and take it easy.
Every other trip is 4 nights which we will drive about 100 miles and my wife will follow in the SUV with the Kayaks.
If a holiday weekend such as Memorial/Labor weekend we go for 5 nights and drive 150 miles, wife will also follow in the SUV with the Kayaks.
I do 3 or 4 two night weekends with buddies, where from about 2pm a toad could not be driven
We will be doing a 1100 mile 10 night trip but will pickup a rental near our location.
We either will be purchasing a toad this spring or next one, I am thinking I may just use the cash to pay off the loan on the MH first.
Folk say a toad is a lifeboat, and I agree but on trips over 75 miles bar the 1100 mile trip my wife is right behind me in the SUV.
