Str8shooter: You are correct if you were speaking of ordinary posters. We should try and share our experiences about companies, both good and bad. BUT a moderator should be independent. Most of his post was good info but recommending a particular comapny crosses the line. Especially in something as controversial as extended warranties. He might have just listed a bunch of the common warranty outfits with their URL's WITHOUT any recommendation. The rest of us can jump in and say yay or nay.

I can not see any problem with RV Roamers post. He voiced his experience. I did not know they had to take a vow of no opinion. If that is the case, I sure would not want to do the job.

We have had a several extended warranties and never had any problems until the recent company. They paid pretty well in the beginnings, but after they were behind on the cost, thay have changed their tune and want to use their own interperation of certain terms...pretty open definitions to include items in the esclusion list. Maybe they are having finiancal problems. In any case, I'd avoid RV Shield.

txiceman: This denail of claim has become "par for the course" for many warranty companies. For instance: Most policies state you must do required maintenance like oil and filter, etc. That is fair. BUT what they have been doing is say denying a claim on your fridge because you did not change the tranny filter??? One has to also be carefull that the warranty is ACTUALLY backed by an insurance company. Many are not.
