I seem to be having a hard time finding a squeegee that will work on the front window of our rig.
Curious as to what the forum uses for window cleaner and to accomplish this task?

I had been using a standard long handled squeegee similar to what you'll find at any gas station. results were just OK. I wised up and bought a Water Blade. this was a good decision as the results are excellent.

I think your are referring to the problem caused by a curved windshield.
Gas station type squeegees have a stiff back, and don't allow the blade to conform to the curved glass.

I have not tried it yet, but is it completed and ready for testing.
I bought a 18” wiper blade (rubber blade and metal holder).

Removed the orig rubber blade from my gas station squeegee.
Then hammered the metal blade holder until it was flat. This gave me a straight piece of metal to attach the wiper blade with two small bolts.

Now I have the scrubber sponge and wiper blade on the same end, just like a gas station version, but with an extension handle.

I will be trying it in a couple of weeks.

We use any spray glass cleaner, (Ardex Glass Cleaner since last Feb.).. but our way requires setting up a stepladder for the outside.

I use the scrubber end of squeegee dipped in white Vinegar and water to scrub the bugs then dry with a clean microfiber rag on the end of a swiffer mop handle. This can be done in full sun without smears and streaks in under 10 minutes, including set up and my feet never leave the ground. I wash the microfibers when enough are soiled, NO SOFTENER as that will cause streaking..

This takes a bit of do-it-yourself engineering, but on the last two coaches I made a hook, identical to the end of the wiper arm, to put on the end of a stick. I just pop off the wiper blade and put it on the end of the stick.

I use the long-handled squeegee at the Flying J when I fuel up.

Totally agree... The WATER BLADE is amazing! Simply the best squeegee I ever used! Soft silicone conforms to the window curves and takes very light pressure to clear every drop of water.

Plastic scrub buds or rectangular green scour pads, any windshield washer fluid and a step ladder then squeegee.

California water blade is great. You can order off Amazon. Mine is threaded same as my wash/wax all rod so I can use it on sides all the way to the top with no ladder.

I usually pull out a ladder, use a scouring pad with window cleaner to remove bugs and then hit the window a second time with a clean cloth. This works fine, but I've been looking for something I can use when fueling when were driving several days in a row. I looked at Home Depot and found this:

I removed the micro fiber part of it and hot glued two flat scouring pads to the bar under the cloth. I now have a large window squeegee with scouring pads attached. Waiting to try it out on an upcoming big trip.
