Window Shades

On my 08 Allegro Bus I have 2 shades on every window. 12 windows. The roll up mechanism is horrible, I think Tiffin stopped using them later because they won't go back up. I want to convert the spring mechanism to the "roman" style with a pull chain.
I have 1" tubes
Has anyone done this? I'm not sure what parts to get?

Most of the problems with those early Tiffins was faulty installation, not the shade itself. You can adjust the retract tension. Simply slide the hem rail off and wrap the shade material around the roller then reinstall the hem rail and try it again. The latest versions have an adjustment knob on the side of the roller and are bulletproof. Tiffin went with the RollEase shades because of price.

Details on the shade adjustments are at MCD - Adjusting Your Manual Shades
