Windshield Wiper Adjustment

I have a 1999 Fleetwood Southwind with the "most annoying" windshield wipers. They wipe great, but come to rest 1/4 of the way into the middle of my view.
When I turn them off, they do swipe completely out of the way for a microsecond, then of course come to rest back covering that 1/4 of the window....grrr.

Any other Southwind owners have the same issue? Any easy fixes?

I'll be watching closely for a solution. My wipers do the same thing.

Hey Ray,

Lol, I think I have a fix. My wipers broke and now I can turn it off/stop them at ANY point. I can stop them at the furthest left and right position which is AWESOME!!! 😳😁Click image for larger version

I had a two piece windshield on my Diplomat and the wipers parked in the middle of the windshield. Being an anal twit, I hated that they sat like yours. They are on a spline. Pull them off and move them one spline toward the center, it may take a couple of tries. I finally got mine to sit right against the center divider.

The only downside, they don't sweep as far to the outside, but in California, we get so little rain I didn't care.

Here is a before and after photo:

Mine have done that since purchase in April '13. Rather than spend money on a solution, I've been doing as you. Sometimes I park my wipers at the outside of the windshield if we are parked and watching something for a better view. I simply hate to use the intermittent wiper function though, they always seem to pause right in my sight path rather than at one side.
However, the cheap skate in me isn't going to just throw money at finding a solution.
