Windshield Wiper Problems

I have a 2008 33 ft. Holiday Rambler, Admiral model, and have had a repetitive problem with the wiper mechanism. The design of the windshield is with no center mullion, so the wipers both swing in the same direction. The drivers side front windshield wiper catches on the passenger side on the upward motion. Unfortunately, this has resulted in a bent drivers side wiper blade arm and a costly fix - now several times.

The service techs have tried adjusting linkage and the factory once had them put a shorter arm on the drivers side, which still caught on the passenger blade. I'm about ready to give up and try changing length on both blades so impossible to hit each other. This won't allow a clear window when raining but thinking some clearance is better than none due to being broke.

Anyone out there had this problem or have additional suggestions?

Unfortunately, the mfg did declare bankruptcy as you know and are now owned by NAVISTAR. I did read awhile back that previous warranty claims will not be responded to by the new Ownership. Does anyone know who I could discuss this with at NAVISTAR. Still seems to me that this is an original factory engineering shortcoming???

Otherwise the coach is "wonderful"

You are out of luck as far as your warranty is concerned, but maybe you can find out from Monaco LLC if they changed the design after yours was built. I haven't heard of any other complaint about this, though, so wonder if something wasn't installed wrong in yours. Have you had an opportunity to compare yours with another Admiral and maybe make some detailed measurements on the arm placement and such?

You might ask down in the Monaco Owner forum if anybody else is experiencing this sort of problem.
