winter storage

hello do i need to put a wood under the tires when storing in winter? i have seen some with some kind of wood under the tires. do u guys do this

I would isolate the tires from the ground. I used a thick vinyl floor runner material on asphalt. 1/2" plywood will work just fine. Apparently the asphalt wicks stuff out of the tire patch when stirred for a long time.

Additionally if you can get out to your vehicle and jack up the rig, spin the tire 180° that will also help keep your tires healthy. I believe that the only "real" thing you need to be concerned about is asphalt. A lot of folks store their rigs up on the jacks which takes weight off the tires as well.

Cement, dirt, sand, gravel surfaces are not as bad as asphalt I am told.

thanks, mine rv is in my backyard and i have grass should i be worried? or can i leave it like that
