Winterize Splendide 2100XC

Has anyone winterized their washer dryer by blowing out the water in the supply lines using air instead of running antifreeze through the lines? I'm planning a trip this winter and would rather not do the antifreeze thing. I have the ice maker to do as well so maybe the antifreeze would be the easiest thing to do. Any thoughts?

I blow out the hoses, but anti-freeze the washer. Follow the directions in the manual; it's simple.

I have very reliable power and place two trouble lights each with a 60 bulb in the tub. Same for the refer/ice maker. Been working for 10 years.

Yeap, no different than any other set of hot & cold lines except you use the washer controls to open the water "faucets". But put some antifreeze in the washer drain pump and line, per the instructions in the 2100XC manual.

If you don't antifreeze the pump, you'll be replacing it.

Thanks for the replies. I did blow everything out with air and did the pump twice to be sure.

You cannot blow all water out of the pump, even if you removed the "lint trap" cover and drained the water.
Winterizing a Splendide is not hard. Follow the optional winterizing directions and the pump will also be winterized. When camping time arrives again, just run an empty rinse-only cycle(warm water) to wash out all antifreeze.(after you've ran clear water through the fresh water plumbing of course)
