Wipers won't park

Due to lose wiper motor bolt, my windshield wipers jammed. After tightening everything up they appear to be working normally, moving in their normal sweep, but when I turn them off they would not park in their normal position. In fact they have been parking in a couple of different positions.

I am hesitant to loosen them and reposition them on the cam arm because they are now moving in their normal sweep, and I am afraid that if I move them they will be sweeping in the wrong area.

Are there any other adjustments that effect where the wipers park?

Since the motor is responsible for parking the wipers, I would say that the motor was damaged when it jammed and your choices are to replace the motor or live with the wipers parking where ever they want. Adjusting the blades is only going to lead to problems, as you pointed out. I have 2 wiper motors and only one of them is bad, so I can control where it stops and the good motor still parks itself properly. When the second motor goes bad then I will invest in 2 new wiper motors.
