Wireless rear view camera

My wide view rear camera quit. The look down still works. Both in one box.

I am on the road and parked just south of Memphis. So I called camping world and took the rig next door to an RV dealer. Camping world wants $500 for the wireless and $260 for labor (2hrs) to do the job. This local dealer service manager wants to install a wired system for maybe a little more “maybe”.

My reason for this post is to ask if anyone has replaced with a wireless system and had problems?

This local dealer is blowing “you will not like it” smoke I think

Thanks for any advice.

I tried a off the rack wireless and it's signal was interfered with other signals and I could not count on it. Ended up wiring in my own using the kit attached from Rand McNALLY gps.
Works ok until it gets sunlight. Then ya may as well not have one.

I ended up replacing mine with a Tadi Brothers wireless system. Rear view and two wing cameras. The install was pretty straight-forward and the price is not bad. So far I'm flat impressed with both the product and the people.

Wireless camera Ebay $35. Flickers some moving. Installed it so I can see further back behind toad and tailgaters. Also connected to Rand McNally GPS. Now have 5 cameras. 2 rear, left, right, & forward recording.

I've been thinking about a forward recording camera myself. One more thing to add to the (long) list I guess.

If you get the forward recording, go for one that records speed, GPS, sound and time. If you are falsely accused of speeding, you will have some well documented video. We have the Garmin Dash Camera.
