Regarding the Workhorse/Bosch Brake recall. We have been doing research in Washington,Oregon,California & Arizona. There has only been 52% of the brake recalls completed. Many of the VIN's we are searching have been traded in, I.E. no info on the customer. If you are not sure if your coach is one of these,E-mail me your VIN# & I'll research it.All I need is the last eight, the VIN starts with 5B4MP67G.Also if any of your friends have bought a used coach, encourage them to check the number. We have seen many coaches with cracked rotors & are now replacing everything, rotors, calipers, seals, sensors, pads & flush fluid. We will be doing these at Quartzsite also,by appointment only as we need to know how many parts to bring. Please E-mail me with your VIN #'s

When this recal is done does it require a flush of the brake fluid?

I am asking because I had it done and am wondering if I need to flush my brake fluid or not this year on my 3 year old chassis.

Thanks

Rotts4u,

We flush the fluid on every brake recall & recommend any coach to flush it every two years, atleast.

You must be in good with Workhorse in order get them to pay for all those parts regardless if they are needed or not. I just had mine done and the service center was on the phone just trying to get Workhorse to authorize the few parts they replaced on mine. I wish you had done mine.

I just found out about the recall on my unit. The closest Workhorse dealer is 60 miles away and they say Workhorse does not have the parts.

Do you think it is dangerouse to drive it the way it is? We recently did some steep mountain driving going to Yellowstone and didn't seem to have a problem.

How do I find out if my unit is subject to the recall? I have a 2004 W22.

I can not get onto the workhorse site to find out about recalls. Whenever I go there to register or join the workhorse club the screen goes part way and then freezes. Sometimes I get to see the next screen by hitting the "stop" button in Explorer. I don't know what is interfering.

Dave,

You should have your brakes check as soon as possible.Workhorse is replacing all your parts under warranty.

Thanks Mike.
I have contacted a service center, but they say Workhorse is back ordered and can't ship the parts needed. If I was closer to your state I would definetly go to you for service.

Hay,
I really appreciate your doing this brake recall action. I'm not good on this kind of stuff. Anyway my Vin# is 5B4MP67G623349318. It's a 2002 Adventurer with vortex engine. We love it.
Also to note is my closest RV dealer is McGeorge Moters in Ashland, VA. I would not take an anvil back there for repairs. Bad, bad! They have been letting me take my RV to Colonial Truck, also in Ashland and that's worked well. Thanks again

Mike,
To make it easier on yourself do you have the Vin# starting number and ending number of the recall from WH. "007"

Hey Guys!

If you guys went over to Workhorse.com and look for the "My Motorhome" tab in the Recreational Vehicle section, you can register your chassis and once you've done that "IF" there are any recalls that apply to your chassis they will be clearly listed in the chassis profile sheet.

It will also list and recalls or campaigns that have been completed. Try it it couldn't hurt.

Re: Dsouthw524, there are no brake recalls that apply to your chassis. If you're trying to get on the Workhorse website you have to set your browser to accept cookies and allow pop-up windows.

I can get on without any problem.
