I've had my coach for a year now and have been working out the issues the previous owner left for me. So far I've learned that the tank interface module is no longer made and none are available, the Sauer Danfoss control valve for the hydraulic driven fan motor is discontinued, and a HVAC register for the kitchen can't be had.

I knew the MH manufacturers had their troubles but when their suppliers bite the dust too it takes away my Plan B. Hasn't Monaco used many of the same parts for all their nameplates and just mixed and matched? Any chance they would have the same part available under a different part number for a different brand? How hard are they trying do you suppose?

I wouldn't worry too much. Try the RV salvage yards around Elkhart In, and Topeka In. The guys have new parts that go back years.

It's not just the parts vendors going out of business - the parts themselves are obsoleted regularly. There is no attempt to maintain a supply of old parts for future replacements, so when the stock is gone you are out of luck. However, I've sometimes been able to find an out-of-production part by searching the net by part name or number. Often somebody has the part on a shelf somewhere, e.g. a repair shop or a parts distributor. Finding it can be tricky, though.
