Yet another Winnebago roof repair question...
Just purchased a 1992 Winnebago Brave 27', first timer.
We knew it needed some work, so no big deal. We are very capable of the work, just need some ideas.
We have decided we are doing Eternabond on ALL seems.
My questions is: How do I get to the Luan under the fiberglass? Can I just cut out the fiberglass where I assume the bad areas of the Luan is, replace the Luan, put the fiberglass back and repatch with fiberglass. Fiberglass repair is a specialty of mine, so no big deal there.
Can I do that, put the cool seal on top of the fiberglass, then Eternbond all seems?
I am ASSUMING the Luan on top the roof around both vents are damaged and I want to replace that before sealing up.
Does the fiberglass wrap around the side or does it stop before it wraps around? I have seen the images of the side wall, corner and top, but it doesnt reall show where the fiberglass stops.
Thanks for the info. I also plan to email Brian at Winnebago that many on here have said id VERY helpful! However, if it takes a while for him to get back with me, I would like options.
My neighbor has offered me the use his pole barn, but I dont want to tie up his shop forever.
Thanks and we LOVE this forum!!!
