And just think, it's a weekend and on Monday he has to go back to work so it's through the mud puddle again. Hope someone is around to pull him out.

He wasn't completely stupid, he left the engine running to keep water out of the exhaust, although it wasn't deep enough to get into the manifold.

Stupid is as stupid does.

This is the second time I have seen this posted on iRV2.com.

For the life of me I still don't understand why he just didn't take the high road around the water. Maybe remove some of the rocks etc. or do you think the terrain would have been too much at an angle that it might have caused a roll-over?

I've read the narrative about that video somewhere. Seems that when they arrived, the water was down and the water rose over the weekend so there was no way out.

Sometimes it's a concoction of bad conditions to make things go bad. Not saying the guy in the first one was not doing something wrong but the other pic would have been just several things at once going wrong. Like what happened in 2009 in Ionia, MI. B-93 Birthday Bash hearing adjourned over 2009 flood that totaled 1,000 cars at Ionia Fairgrounds | MLive.com

When we lived in Maine we spent a fair amount of time ice fishing. Most of the lakes had boat ramps and the locals would plow the lake so it would be possible to drive close to their favorite fishing spot. A few times we saw RV's on the ice! Personally I didn't like bringing my vehicle on it never mind a 30000 pound RV.
