I was at the Flying J saturday filling up my LP tank when a Bounder pulled up to the pumps with a NC tag. I still have my NC tags so the conversation began. He told me how him and his wife had bought the A on Ebay and drove to Az and piced it up. They went on to the coast and up and back down and through Vegas just haveing a great time. First one he has ever own and still learning how everything works. Great folks, who have worked all thier life and now were going to enjoy it to the fullest. He said he finally figured out that he had been lucky with heart problems, so he and his wife were going to live life to the fullest for the time they both had left. You meet the nicest people at the rv pumps!

My wife and I picked up our new to us and first RV 2 weeks ago in Florida. During our 2500 mile return trip home, we stayed at 6 RV parks. We met some of the nicest people who ran the camps or were staying there. Our best experience was in the RV park outside Ft. Stockton, TX. It has it's own cafe within the park. We had dinner there the evening we arrived and breakfast there the next morning. We sat a chatted with a number of folks from all walks of life and hated to leave.

I love Wally, it's my favorite "Resting" place and don't get to visit the other folks much.

I sure know what you mean. We bought our first ever RV in 2007. We thought we'd like the travel but frankly were a bit concerned that we wouldn't like the "cramped trailer park" environment. It turns out that people are so nice we haven't given it a second thought.

I'll also second the good words about Fort Stockton RV Park just east of Fort Stockton, Texas. We've overnighted there twice and it will be a regular stop for us on east/west trips. You just can't beat meals at the Road Runner Cafe!
