05,06 jeep gran Cherokee good or no

I understand jeeps are easiest to tow so was going to buy an 05, or 06 jeep gran Cherokee to tow however reading the reviews on the vehicle scares me. Can you jeep owners chime in and let me know if you have had issues with your 05,06 gran Cherokees as a daily driver? Thanks

We have a 2012 GC. There are different transmission & drive trains on them. We have quadra trac which allows for disengaging the drive train. If you have a 2 wheel drive GC you may have problems.

I have an 06 GC with the 4.6v8 that I bought used in 07 and have about 75k miles on it now. The only issue I have had with it is the exhaust manifold bolts breaking (which I haven't fixed yet). For the most part, I've been pretty satisfied with it as it is easy (but heavy) to tow. Mileage is pretty poor and I hate the fabric used in the seats, but overall, I would buy one again.
