06 Honda CRV Curb Weight?
I am trying to confirm the curb weight of the '06 Honda CRV, AWD. I have looked at the towing guides from MOTORHOME Magazine but they don't even list any Hondas for 2006. I also looked at Edmunds.com and it lists it at 3472# whereas the 2005 model that looks identical is 3258# according to both websites.
Has anybody had theirs weighed to know which might be correct? I am downsizing from my '98 Cherokee 4WD, 3900#, and have a 2006 CRV I am interested in but want the lightest I can get that does not have excessively high mileage. 2002 thru 2006 all look alike but I don't want an older one that may have rust issues sooner.

vacationer04-
Google search says 3,318 to 3,494 pounds. Reports are that actual vehicle weights tend to exceed the published curb weights.

At the risk of sounding a bit sarcastic, why don't you just go test drive one and, stop by a weigh station or, maybe even a van and moving facility (many have scales for their business) and weigh one for yourself so you can SEE for yourself what one ACTUALLY weighs? I don't take ANYONES PRINTED matter for granted. It's ALWAYS OFF! I proved the Dinghy Towing Guide from Trailer Life/Motorhome Magazines wrong twice. Once with my one of my present toads, an '11 GMC Sierra 1500 4x4 Extended cab and, the other time with a previous toad, an '11 Honda CRV EX-L.
They stated or GMC weighed 4875 and I pulled into a certified scale and it was exactly 5,300 lbs. Our '11 CRV weight 3,720 when the guide said 3,503. I don't know what conditions they're weighing at, full tank, no full tank, what? But, the fact is, if one is concerned that much about weight, go weigh one and be sure for yourself.

The weights given from the factory are for completely empty vehicles, may not even have oil or gas so yes the weights are lower than what your rig will weigh. I carry some blankets, tools, trailer hitch and accessories for the towbar in mine. Might even throw in some wood or a bicycle. When we towed the '05 Odyssey to a cat show it was loaded with all our merchandise so it weighed considerably more than the factory weight of 4,400#'s
