We are looking for a driveshaft disconnect for 07 Mazda Miata. We did find a base plate from Roadmaster. However, we have been unable to find the disconnect. Is there anyone out there with information on this? We would like to tow our Miata and really do not want to trade cars to tow flat. Thanks for any information that anyone might have...Judi

Try Remco at their website. I assume your Miata is an automatic.

That would be Remco Towing , the manufacturers of driveline disconnects and also automatic tranny lube pumps. They will know what is needed to tow your Miata.

Yes, our Miata is automatic. Thanks for the information and I will give them a call tomorrow.
We would rather tow a car that we already own than to trade cars. Thanks again, info is much appreciated. Judi - Port Orange, Fl

Thanks for info...I checked website of Remco. Dealer in Ocala, Fl. Hitching Post...called and they say that no the Miata cannot be towed per Remco...only trailered...so much for that...but thanks anyway...we are still learning...sometimes the hard way...thanks for friends who give advice.

The folks at the Hitching Post are good, so they are probably right. However, I have seen a Miata being towed, though it may have been a manual tranny.
