07' Saturn Vue wire fishing?

Where do you fish the wires & vacuum hose for SMI brake unit & tailites through the firewall for the 07' Saturn Vue.

Thanks in advance,

I just installed a US Gear tow brake in my 2007. I had to snake 4 wires through the fire wall. Just below the brake vacuum unit, just to the right you will see a rubber gromet about 3" in diameter. This is where I sent my wires through. I started inside the vehicle. There was a foam insert just inside the boot. I moved it back. Then I peeled back the top of the gromett and I could see inside the engine compartment. I used a screw driver to hold the gromett back and sent the wires through. Hope this is some help to you.

Good luck
Don

Thanks, Don, I've seen that spot, but I've got 7 wires & a 1/2' vacuum line to go through & I'm afraid thet spots not big enough. I'm going to look at the boot for the steering linkage today. Hopefully, I'll be able to find some room there, possibly use both spots.

Thanks again,

Well, I finally got the 7 wires the & vacuum hose through the firewall. I used Don's suggestion of going through the grommet but pulled the grommet out & put a split in it & pulled the seven wires through & sealed & secured them with Lexel a clear polymer. The vacuum hose went through a 1/2" hole i drilled above the grommet & it was also secured with Lexel so that it can't move or leak. Sure is the darndest vehicle to put wires through.
