1972 Volkswagon Super Beetle

Does anyone know if you can tow 4 wheels down, a 1972 volkswagon super beetle with an automatic stick shift?

My sources say "no" unless you remove the axles.

That was a great year for the Beetle! Had one of those Super Beetles, it was the best!

an auto stick trans should be able to be towed 4 down....it has the same final drive as the 4 speed beetle...which is towable 4 down.
if memory serves correctly the auto stick has 90wt in the final drive and transmission and atf in the torque converter.

The trans was basically a manual trans that had a torque converter apply power to a clutch
