1982 Mercedes Benz 240D 4 speed manual

Hello Forum,

I have a 1982 4 Spd manual Diesel and I want to tow this behind my 2006 Ram 2500.

I have the Blue Ox Tow Bar that came with the car when I purchaced it used a few years back.

My question is: Should I spend the money and get either a tow dolly or car carrier, or do you think it would hurt the ole Mercedes and pull it in nutural with the tow bar?

Has anyone else in here ever towed this exact vehicle this way?

Please let me know...

Thanks.
