1986 Ford Bronco II 4x4 Auto as a Toad

I have been looking for a car to tow behind my RV. I need one that is not too expensive. I have always liked Bronco IIs. Does anyone know if it is towable, 4 wheels down.

Thanks. Macabie

Manual Trannies YES, from my understanding, B-2's with the "Shiftable Transfer Cases" are four down towable by shifting transfer cases into neutral.

Yes. Manual Bronco IIs are towable with all four down. I towed an 87 B2 from Seattle to Alaska with no problems. Don't lock the hubs. I had electric hubs. Cannot speak for feasibility of towing an AT trans. I think no.

B2 towing

I have an 86 B2 with the auto trans and mechanical transfer case shifter. I have towed it back and forth from east coast to west coast and everywhere in between. You put the trans in N then put your transfer case in N then put your trans in P .You are done off you go. It also has the mechanical hubs. I have the US Gear brake system which works perfect. It has been a great tag along until we picked up 2010 ford escape . No issusethere either.

Good luck,
Poppa J
