YES, towed a 1991 Saturn SL1 automatic from new till 2010. Approved by Saturn for 65 MPH. No problems. Set up is, transmission in neutral, parking brake off, ignition to aux (so that steering is not locked) and I turned off radio and fan. Odometer did not rack up miles with engine not running. Odometer broke showing 197,345 miles (Odometer failure is normal for early SL). Many more miles at time of trade in on my GMC.

The Saturn SL1 was the first time I towed an automatic transmission. If you are still interested in towing a SL1, I have the base plate for free.

Don,I have a Blue Ox tow bar,and do not know if your base plate would be compatable.I have been towing a Jeep Wrangler, but would like the extra gas mileage the Saturn offers. The other issue would be getting the plate,as I live in Illinois.I appreciate your offer,Ralph
