2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4x4 ?

Anyone flat tow a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo?

If so, any problems?
What are the steps to do it?

I don't know if it makes a difference, there are 2 very different transfer cases in those. Select trac
the one (NV242) that has the 2WD HI/4HI Part time/4HI full time/Neutral/4LO

And Quada-trac the other with 4HI/Neutral/4LO (more like AWD)

On the Quadra Trac II
1. Start the motor.
2. Put transmission in neutral
3. Put the transfer case shifter in neutral
4. Put the transmission in park
5. Turn the ignition key towards the off position one click. This keeps the steering unlocked.

I didn't go into all the set the parking brake, put your foot on the brake, release the brake stuff because this is common sense and you know that already.

In the owners manual, there is a good description on how to do the above process.

There are no problems. I towed a '00 over 100,000 miles until the wife wrecked it. Now I tow a '99 because our '14 is to pretty and nice to tow.
