New to RVing still in the decision making stage, between diesel pusher or fifth wheel and large truck. We already own the S-10 my DH wants to bring his Harley on the road with us.Can the S-10 be towed 4 down with the Harley in the bed of the truck behind a diesel pusher?(not behind the 5er lol)I have searched and searched can't find the answer. Thank-You, Peabody

PS. Guess I should let you know, the S-10 is a 2wd manual shift.

Peabody - if you can't find that info online, you might want to call a Chevy dealer or check with a mechanic. There are tow vehicle listings but they are usually for newer cars - not sure your 2000 would be listed. All cars are so different - my 2wd manual Escape can be towed - but lots of other 2wd manuals can't be towed, or you have to do some modifications. Sounds like you guys are all over the board - didn't you start out looking at 5'ers? I've found that I like my motorhome a lot more than my 5'er, but only because I intend to travel often. If I were going to be sitting still for months, I'd much rather have my big old Teton back!! You'll figure it out . . . .

Peabody...
Have you ever had the Harley in the back of the S-10? I am not sure it will even fit in the back of the S10...and then I am not sure of the allowable weight capacity for the S10 and how much the Harley weighs.

These are things I would check on first. If any one of these items don't work - then it won't matter if you can tow the S10 four-down...

MM makes a good point about the weight capacity of the S10.

Your owners manual should have a section about towing behind a motorhome.

Well,that problem is solved.That little S-10 can handle the payload just fine,however it can't be towed more than 50miles at 35mph,what a whimp,lol . Thank-You, Peabody

Peabody....There are other small trucks that can be towed 4-down. I tow an 08 Ford Ranger 4x4 with the 7 ft box and Harley in bed. Others tow a Dodge Dakota. Just find the setup that works for you.
