Question 2002 chev tracker (New to me toad)

I just bought a tracker as a new toy and toad to take off road. In the back of my mind for some reason the idea that i need to tie down the steering to tow it. Even though this will be my 4th tow car and never thinking about it before. C an anyone put my mind at ease and tell me that is a silly thought?

John

It's a silly thought. As long as you are towing 4-down and straight ahead there is no need to do anything to the steering wheel except tomake sure it is free to turn (steering unlocked).

You can rest easy. I've only had two of them myself - a 2000 4 cylinder and 2003 V6, but never tied anything down. Not on any other toad either.
