Any thoughts regarding the jeep cherokee 4wd v8 as a toad for my 2005 Holiday Rambler 33 with 8.1 vortec....w-22 and 22.5 tires max combined weight 26,000lbs. the curb weight of the jeep is approx 3950 which would be at the max combined weight...my thought would be to travel with limited on board water ,3/4 fuel etc to reduce weight. I am considering this toad because I can purchase it at or below trade value... Thanks for your input

The Grand Cherokee is a great vehicle and it's perfect for flat towing. We've pulled our 2002 Grand Cherokee Overland all over, behind our 33' Suncruiser/W20 and the 2004 40' Bus. It's an Overland with the high output V8 and all the extra stuff so it weighed in on the heavy side at 4,660 lbs but it pulled just fine.

I LOVE MY JEEP!!! Honestly, it's one of the few vehicles that I have owned that I liked enough to want to replace with another one.

Get your rig weighed - chances are excellent that a 33 footer is below 22,000 lbs in GVW, leaving you a bit of room to tow the Cherokee and still be under the GCWR. However, you should weight the Jeep too - it is almost surely heavier than the 3950 curb weight when actually in use and you will be close enough to the GCWR that 100-200 lbs could make a difference.
