2003 toyota solara auto ????????

Does anyone know if the older Solara 4 cyl auto is flat towable with a pump. I really would like a sporty convertible DW won't have a Jeep or stick. she used to have a Solara and loved it.

The FMCA Towing Guide for 2003 says only the manual trans is towable four down.
Maybe Remco has something like a trans pump?

thanks

The Remco site seems to be down all day today I'll check later. Towable convertibles are tough to find.

From the Remco Towing website: Vehicle can be flat towed with Lube Pump Kit. Vehicle cannot be flat towed from Manufacturer as is.

A lube pump kit is $1295 + 6 hrs. labor (Estimated). So your looking at an additional $2000 + purchase price to have a towable convertible.

better off buying another toad (many cars are towable without any mods. 3-5 year old cars with low mileage are not that expensive from private).

Or Dolly tow it. We Dolly tow our 2006 Solara Conv. Just get the 81"W version for fender clearance during turns.

Smile Oh Well

Tow dollies are out of the question for me, I'm to lazy for all that work.
The newer car would be great if they ever decide to build one without the CVT in a rag top I'd be all over it. Small flat towable cars are becoming hard to find.

4 cylinder Solara

Probably too late for the author, but just wanted to say that Remco makes a lube pump only for the 6 cylinder Solara. I'm in the process of having my 07 Solara convertible outfitted with the lube pump.
