2003 VW Passat, FWD, 5 sp, manual transmission

Towed flat (Blue Ox Base Plate & Hitch) in neutral behind my RV for 200 miles now, problem free. Average speed was around 60 MPH. Anyone with experience towing similar or same FWD aware of any problems with this? So far, my research indicates it's OK. Just checking to see if there's a problem lurking out there. I guess my main concern is bearings and lubrication on input and output shafts.

VW 5 speed manual transmissions seem to tow without issues, regardless of the VOA revoking towing recommendation. Since you're out of warranty, no worries. Many reports of 6 speed manual transmissions also being towed without harm, even though VOA says no.
