2004 4X4 Envoy 4 dinghy towing

Good evening,

New to the site and I just did a search on this but wanted to be specific.

We have a 2004 4X4 Envoy with 4 wheel drive and I'm able to put the transfer case in Neutral. The owners manual isn't as clear as to whether I still need to pull any fuses to tow.

I was hoping someone with first hand knowledge would know about the fuses.

Our steering wheel doesn't lock with the key off and out of the ignition so I assumed I would be good with just having the transfer case in Neutral in accordance with the manual and the key off.

Any help and tips would be appreciated. Thanks

I have a 07 Trailblazer which is pretty much the same and there is no steering wheel lock. That means you do not need to leave the key on to unlock the steering column and no need to pull a fuse for that reason. Being yours is an 04 I can't say for sure that it is the same. Check to see if the steering wheel locks with the key off. Hope that helps.

Thanks slickest1,

Our steering wheel doesn't lock either with the key out. I thought it strange when we bought it 4 years ago but now looks like it will come in handy for our toad.

Thanks for the quick reply.
