We'll now that i've got all the tow equipment ordered for my Vue I need to tackle the lights. I would like to tap into the cars wiring and use existing lights. I know there might be easier ways but I would like to check this out. Does anyone have info, schematics or know where I can find something that will help. Thanks for all the info I have received from you guy's so far.

I went with the light kit by DemCo, which I ordered when I purchased the tow bar. If I'm not mistaken, to wire the automobile lights with the present lighting system you will need a diode kit at a minimum.

Try RVUpgrade Store

or search on "RV wiring kit" on Google.

I'm not sure if this is what you are asking for, but here is a variety of wiring diagrams Wiring

p.s., my personal preference is to add a set of lights to the existing glass (plastic) housing already on the vehicle. You just drill a hole for a new light socket and do not have to rely on the tow vehicle battery system since it is wired to the coach lighting system with a quick disconnect.

I found a DVD on E-Bay which provides maintenance information on our 2005 Vue. It includes that wiring diagrams, although I don't like the way the information is presented. It is pretty piecemeal. I wanted to know about the wiring for the brake pedal switch and this DVD had it. I just looked at the Lable and it says "GM GoodWrench FCS 13295-0703A"

Hope this helps.

You can use diodes, I know Blue Ox and Road Master has them with instructions on how to install. You will still need to run wiring to the rear of the car to follow these instructions. I put in the separate bulb kit and am happy with this easy installation.
