2005 Silverado Toad

Anyone towing a 2005 Silverado 4 wheel drive tuck? I was told that the 2005 doesn't have a wheel lock so therefore you can tow it with the ignition off and key removed. Sure makes it easy not having to worry about the battery drain.

Is what I heard true? I didn't received an owners manual when I purchased this truck recently.

That is correct. GM stopped using steering column locks in their trucks and SUVs in 2004 or earlier.

You really need to locate an owners manual to confirm it's towable, but most are.
