About to purchase a 2005 Pontiac Sunfire for a toad, it is not necessary to pull any fuses and owners manual does not mention anything about if it will register miles. Does any one know if it will or not register miles?

We have towed a 2003 Sunfire 4 speed automatic for two years with no problems at all. Does not register any mileage and no fuses to pull. We towed a 2000 Chev Cavalier which was an identical car for 3 years before and it too was a great toad.

Purchased the 2005 Pontiac Sunfire for our toad, it is not necessary to pull any fuses. It does not register miles. Confirmed this with the Car Dealer's salesman who also checked with service department before we purchased the car. Only have to turn the key to the off position, must leave the key in the ignition when towing and the automatic transaxle in neutral. Purchased the tow package from Cummings-Bridgway, Roadmaster hidden base plate brackets and the Sterling Tow Bar along with the BrakeBudy.

Just drove it home about 30 miles everything works well and it did not register miles.

Update,
pondering the many bike carriers available was getting frustrating. Looking for the "easier softer way" to tow our new Toad, along with the Yamaha Vino 125 motor scooter 124cc on the VersaHaul hitch hauler plugged into the motorhome receiver, and the Sterling tow bar plugged into the VersaHaul. With a little additional disassembly of the new all aluminum old style "old people bikes", single speed with pedal brakes. ( I was already removing the seats via the quick disconnect clamp fastener when I hauled the bikes on the Reese bike carrier I bought first, thinking all we wanted were the bikes along with the motorhome, then came the scooter to ride two passengers, then came the rainy days in the Florida Keys and we needed a toad. ) Long story short, I remove seats, front wheels and the handlebars and they fit nicely in the trunk of the 2005 Sunfire Toad. The back seat folds down to expand the trunk in the two door Sunfire and I put a thick blanket between the two bikes. Removing the bikes and assembling the three items, front wheel, handlebar and seats takes about 5 min. each. I found the easier softer way.

Now we are ready to travel, last day of work was March 31st just getting used to not working.
