We have an 2000 Odyssey and we have towed it successfully 4 down and even have a lettr saying it's OK to do that. Went down to look at a new one and they say(dealer and Honda) no more 4 down towing starting with the 05 model. Can you tow if you let the engine run in neutral to lube the tranny? Should I just forget it and tow anyway?
Thoughts?

From what I understand you could tow a Honda Odyssey four down up to model year 2004.
Honda said no flat towing for 2005/2006 model years. Ed.S

I was at my Honda dealer for service last week and spoke to them about an Odyssey. They told me Odyssys are towable. And they did confirm that the Ridgeline was not towable.

Is anyone towing an '05 or'06 Odyssey??

I was at my Honda dealer for service last week and got ahold of the memo that came from Honda saying only 06 model year CRV is towable and all other 06 models are not. All the 05's are towable (except Hybrids) according to the memo. I am not aware of any changes to the drive line. My guess is they had some failures and are limiting their liablity. I tow a 91 Accord and a 2003 CRV and have towed our 2000 CRV and never a problem. I just make sure and go thru the steps Honda requires.
