I don't have the '06, but I have the '07 with automatic transmission. I have towed it over 35,000 miles with no problem, knock on wood. If the '06 is as good you will have not problem. I personally prefer the automatic to a stick shift - only because DW drives it sometimes.

I love my 2006 Saturn Vue automatic. It has the V-6 Honda engine and drive train which has performed exceptionally well. I will not give it up unless it is totally dead and cannot be revived any longer. It's sad that no one picked up the company and also that GM gave up on such a great car.

It tows easily 4 down without any problems. The only observation that I have made with this Saturn is that the wheels bearings don't seem to last very long. And it's not due to towing as most of my travels around the country, the car has been inside my trailer which is my rolling garage. I only tow the car when making side trips. The repair shops that I have used all say that they replace a lot of wheel bearings in Saturn's so it may be an application issue. I have now replaced all four wheel bearings when the mileage was between 40 & 60 thousand miles. It now has about 65,000 miles on the odometer.

Great vehicle and I hope it lasts forever.
