We just purchased a 2006 Vue and are trying to find a towing package that will fit the 6 cyl model. I am told by Camping world that the toew bar setup I had (sterling roadmaster) doent make a base plate for the 6cly ONLY the four cyl. Does anyone out there have a 2006 vue , if so what tow package do you use. On Mond ay I am calling Roadmaster to see what they say.

If Blue Ox or Demco has a base plate, you can use that along with a Roadmaster adapter. Each tow bar company has adapters so they can use their tow bar with someone else's base plate.

But I suspect Roadmaster is working on a base plate and just doesn't have it on the market yet.

I have a Saturn Vue and Blue Ox makes a nice base plate for it.

You can get a great price on one at RVupgrades.com one of our major sponsors.

Blue Ox does make one and I would deffinetly recommend it. I would also recommend you have someone instlall LED lighs in the rear light fixtures of the Vue. The area is a bit tight for regular light kits but can be done if careful to position properly. An LED would be much simpler and last longer than ordinary bulbs. I have asked Blue Ox to come up with an LED wiring kit for this reason but I do not htink they have it on the market as of yet. You or someone will have to create it from scratch.
