I was wondering if any of you tow a trailblazer behind a Ford F53 class A Gas motor home . We just got it and also was wondering where you got your break buddy and tow bar from . We tryed a tow dolley last summer and did not like that at all . It worked fine a 2,000 mile trip . But we got g GM,s blessing on putting the trailblazer in nutural and towing all four down . Anybody that has been through this all this ready I would like to know how much it cost and what kind of equiptment you have and how it goes down the road. We have a 30 B Sightseere

Please check it out on SMIBrake.com.
I owned a Trailblazer and I towed it with our W22 motorhome. Weighing the combination of our motorhome and the Trailblazer attached we were typically over gross but not by much. So if you are going to tow a TB just keep that in mind. We sold the TB and purchased a toad that was 1,000 lighter. That was the ticket for us weight wise.

Just as an F.Y.I., the Trailblazer and the Envoy are nearly the same vehicle. The baseplate, etc. are interchangeable.

A Trailblazer is well over 4000 lbs and will quite likely exceed the tow rating your motorhome. Check your receiver rating and the coach's GCWR and then weigh the coach to see what capacity you have left for towing a fairly heavy vehicle like the TrailBlazer.

Thanks for the replays
Before I bought I got the build sheet from Chevrolet and it is 4,563 curb weight. The Ford Chassie has a 26,000 GCWR and a 5,000 pound reciver. I called Ford And Winnie and they said as long as I dont go over the 5,000 hitch ratting I would be fine. If I had a 35 or 38 ft coach then I might have a problem but at 31ft I think I will be ok. I was just asking if anyone has towed one before and how did it tow and if a 6,000 tow bar would be strong enouf, Thanks Again for all your help

It pulls really nice. Easy to put in nuetral. My wife would do the procedure inside the car while I did the outside hook up. She'd watch for the lights, signal check, and make sure no tires were skidding. Your tow bar is more than adequate.
In the future, I hope to get something MUCH lighter for my toad.
The Isuzu Acender is also a Trailblazer/Envoy. The Trailblazer XT is like a Suburban that was left in the dryer too long. The XT rides much better than the regular length. The XT was cancelled for 2007.

Your tow bar is adequate and the hitch as well, though barely so. You will be pretty close to 5000 lbs, but not over. You probably won't even notice the extra weight as far as performance is concerned.
I'm impressed that Winnie put the Sightseer 30 on the 26,000 lb chassis. I thought is was probably on the 22k version, which is why I brought the question up. You should be in fine shape.

Are you guys talking about a 4WD TBlazer? I didn't think the 2WD was towable without a sump or driveshaft disconnect?????
