Anyone towing a 2007 Honda Odessey 4 wheels down? I have seen one being towed. I note Blue ox makes base plate for the Odessey for that year but the owners book indicates not recommended other than only below 35 MPH which is not very useful for a toad. I own a 2007 Odessey. My CRV was involved in an accident so need to come up with another alernative.
Thanks

Does no one tow a Honda Odessey? I'm sure I have seen a few out there.
Appreciate your comments.

It's OK to tow with an Odyssey. I would strongly recommend getting the ATF cooler package to keep the ATF temp down. I would not tow an Odyssey behind an MH. There is alot of history with the Hondas having transmission failures which were towed behind MHs.

Will follow this thread with interest as I have an Odyssey that I would love to tow behind my MH, as it is a fabulous all purpose vehicle. How would it go on a two wheel dolly to get the front wheels in the air, but leaving the rear wheels to follow? Has anyone seen such/used a setup?

Dear Gracie, Should not be a problem to pull and Odyssey behind a MH with the front wheels in the air.

colemole,

I towed a 2005 Odyssey four wheels down from south GA to Niagara Falls and back with no problems at all. I normally tow an Acura, but we took my parents to Canada with us and needed the extra space in the Odyssey. There is a particular procedure you must go through before you tow most Honda products. I don't know if your CR-V required it, but I know my Acura and my Odyssey both require it. No limit on speed, either. I generally run about 70 on interstates. I've been towing the Acura four wheels down for almost 3 years now. I have no problem with towing the Odyssey four down, either.

We towed our 2003 Odyssey for several years. SOLD the 2003 in 2006 for a SUBURBAN, sold the Suburban for a 07 CIVIC to save on gas didn't really want to tow it at all and it seems like nobody has done it yet (automatic) last Monday we picked up a great new to us 2002 Odyssey that we are setting up as a toad and company delivery vehicle this week. The only thing we ever did with our 2003 was to start the vehicle every 300miles? and go all the way down through the gears slowly and then back up to neutral without hitting reverse and the then we were told to let the vehicle idle for 2-3 minutes. One time i forgot to turn the thing off and 30min later I realized it no worries though!!!! Moral of my story is we loved our OLD Style Odyssey so much and had great luck towing it that we decided to buy another one. Odyssey's in our opinnion rock!!!
