2007 Jeep GC toad

Looking at a 2007 Jeep GC for towing 4 down. It does not have a separate shift to take out of 4WD. Are only those with separate shift towable 4 down? I had a 2002 Jeep GC and towed great, but not sure about newer models.
Thanks.

To make sure if it is towable or not, read the owners manual. Look for "recreational towing".

My Wrangler has a section in the manual that tells all about towing 4 down. Are you sure your Jeep is 4 wheel drive?

Jeep has about 3 or 4 four wheel drive systems; not all are towable.

Thanks for feed back. Checked manual and this model is Quadr-Trac I, not towable. Says Quadra Trac II and Quadra Drive II are the towable ones.
Thanks

We tow a 2000 gc 4x2 with drive shaft disconnect and have had no issues. Cheaper than getting a 4x4.
